Terms of Service

Launch status: The free SeriaReader Chrome extension is publicly available through an unlisted Chrome Web Store link. The Android and iOS apps remain in development. Waitlist registration does not guarantee mobile access or a release date.

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of the SeriaReader website, waitlist, Chrome extension, mobile applications, and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to accept these Terms. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and notifying us if you suspect unauthorized account activity.

3. Service availability

Features, limits, supported platforms, and availability may change as the Service is developed. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service when reasonably necessary. We do not promise a specific launch date, uninterrupted availability, or permanent storage of content.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit or choose to save. You grant SeriaReader a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the requested Service. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of saved material complies with applicable law and third-party rights.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activity;
upload malware, interfere with security, probe systems without authorization, or disrupt other users;
attempt to access another person's account or data;
scrape or automate access in a way that overloads or circumvents Service limits; or
use the Service to infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or other legal rights.

6. Third-party pages and services

SeriaReader can save links to third-party pages and relies on providers such as Supabase and, where applicable, Google Play. We do not control third-party content, availability, or policies. Your use of a third-party service may also be governed by that provider's terms.

7. Chrome extension

The SeriaReader Chrome extension is free and does not contain advertising, paid features, affiliate links, donations tied to features, or checkout. The extension is intended only to let a signed-in user save a user-selected page to the user's private reading library.

8. Android subscriptions

If paid Android features are offered in the future, they will be sold only through Google Play. Google Play will process payment, renewal, cancellation, and applicable refund requests under its terms. SeriaReader does not offer a separate website or Chrome-extension checkout. Product availability and prices shown before launch may change before purchase.

9. AI-assisted features

AI-generated summaries or other automated outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and are provided for convenience. Do not rely on them as professional, medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. Review source material before making important decisions.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, excluding user content and third-party material, including its software, branding, and original design, is owned by or licensed to SeriaReader and protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant permission to copy our branding or proprietary material except as necessary to use the Service.

11. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, comply with law, or address a material breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion as described in our account deletion page.

12. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will always be secure, uninterrupted, or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, SeriaReader is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will publish the revised version here and update the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
